Newcastle Harness Racing Club hosts approximately 70 meetings per year, mostly on Friday nights and boasts the $100,000 Group 2 Newcastle Mile as our feature race night.
Club facilities include an impressive glass grandstand with restaurant, VIP function room and several bars offering uninterrupted views of the track right on the winning post. The concourse area offers outdoor seating, lawn, canteen and outdoor bar, harness museum and a large function room – the Westburn Grant Room perfect for a range of events up to 300 guests. TAB betting facilities are also available on course.
Children are very welcome at Newcastle Paceway and we regularly host family race night events featuring children’s entertainment and activities. Children can move throughout the venue but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when in the bar or restaurant areas.
Garrards Horse & Hound retail outlet is also located on site.
Racecourse admission is FREE.
