Tommy Reay was a trainer and driver in his early harness racing career, but breeding was his major passion.
In a nod to his industry contribution over 60 years, his son and NHRC Director Darren Reay last year devised the concept to honour him with a 2YO Memorial race series.
Heats were conducted on Monday 7 April and the $25,000 final will be conducted tonight.
