Another rainy Friday night of racing at Newcastle, but that didn't dampen the spirits of the on-fire duo of Clayton Harmey & Blake Hughes, notching up yet another winning double with TRALEE ROCKS in Race 5 and BOBSLED BOY in Race 6.
Shane Harmey & Leigh Sutton combined with BIG TIME HUSTLER sneaking in by a nose on the opening race of the card. Lady luck for Jenny Sellers and Laura Spencer saw $15 LIGHTNING BOB take out the second.
Mitch & Guy Chapple had reason to smile with YOHA an impressive winner by a convincing 23m in the TAB Odds & Evens Pace. Tom Ison drove the Mark Callaghan trained LACEYS LAD to an all-the-way win in Race 4 in a mile rate of 1.54.6.
The Atkins family were booked in at the Ross Gigg Lounge to cheer on SUNSHINE PEPPER for the win in Race 7 for trainer /driver Rodney Atkins and Leigh Sutton made it a driving double for the night in the last taking TIZ A MAGICTIME to victory for trainer Stuart Pringle.
