Morrisset trainer Mark Callaghan combined with Tom Ison to open last Friday nights card with a double for owners Matt Chidgey and Trent Seckold in the first two races with race favourite HIGH LINE NZ taking out the first by a convincing 19.5 margin and MOTU SAPPHIRE NZ saluting in Race 2.
Owner/trainer/driver James Kennedy held on to take SANDY LOCHINVAR to an all the way win in the DFK CROSBIE PACE over 1609m. THE TIGER ARMY made it three from the last three starts at Newcastle for the Kylie Barnes / Aaron Garaty combination in Race 4.
The Aaron Goadsby trained and race favourite MILWAULKEE STRYDER was piloted to victory by Guy Chapple in Race 5.
Bevan Pringle notched up the first of a driving double in Race 6 for Brendon Flaherty in a comfortable win aboard BEAUTIFUL STRANGER, his second win was with $81 roughie MAGIC SHOOS in the last for trainer Stacie Elliott.
The Cameron Davies trained DOTHEDEALDYLAN claimed victory in Race 7 with Jake Hughes in the gig and brother Blake Hughes had the reins behind WILLSON ROMAR for a win in the 2YO PACE for trainer Margot Lennox. Congratulations to all the winning connections.
