After a three year hiatus the popular Hawkesbury to Hunter Series returned to the Newcastle racing calendar this September wrapping up last Friday night with a win for DANCINGINTHEDARK in the $12,000 final.
Restricted to horses trained in the Hunter and North West NSW, the Cameron Davies trained mare with Mitch Chapple in the seat had all the right moves taking the win by 3.2m over ITS INEVITABLE and A PARADIGM SHIFT.
With a sponsorship injection from Wandiyali, the series which started 20 years ago enjoyed a welcome reboot attracting seven heats over the past fortnight.
