WAYBACK WEDNESDAY

WAY BACK WEDNESDAY!
For this week’s Way Back Wednesday, we look to a different medium. To a gorgeous painting, recently donated to our NHRC museum.
A new and different Way Back Wednesday to share from our NHRC museum’s archives.
#wbw of an old oil painting of harness racing created by Keith Norris.
We believe the painting was based at the Harold Park track in Sydney NSW. The oil painting is titled “Pipped at the Post”. Created back in 1977, such a historic and exciting time in Harness Racing’s History.
We thank Geoff Glover for donating this beautiful painting. Geoff will be joining us at the track on Friday night… we hope you enjoy your night!
We called around, with no luck into who this image may have been captured of, maybe it was a strike of inspiration of Keith’s? If the silks look familiar and someone you know drove at Harold Park, in the late 70’s, please let us know!
What a great time in Harness Racing! Have you got any precious memorabilia? If so, share it with us in the comments!
